Browser Extension Setup

Install the SnapGlyph browser extension to create QR codes directly from any webpage without leaving your browser.

Available on: Starter, Pro, and Max plans

Overview

The SnapGlyph browser extension lets you:

  • Generate QR codes for any webpage with one click
  • Save QR codes directly to your SnapGlyph account
  • Access your saved QR codes from the browser
  • Quick-share pages as QR codes

Supported Browsers

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Brave
  • Other Chromium-based browsers

Installation

Step 1: Get the Extension

Visit the extension store for your browser:

Step 2: Add the Extension

  1. Click Add to Chrome or Get (Edge)
  2. Confirm by clicking Add extension
  1. Click the puzzle piece icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Find SnapGlyph in the list
  3. Click the pin icon to keep it visible

Connecting Your Account

After installation, you will need to sign in to your SnapGlyph account in order to get access to the full functionality of the extension.

Step 1: Click the Extension

Click the SnapGlyph icon in your browser toolbar.

Step 2: Sign In

Click the sign in button on the top right of the extension.

Step 3: Authorize

  1. You’ll be redirected to SnapGlyph
  2. Sign in if not already signed in
  3. Review the permissions requested
  4. Click Authorize

Step 4: Connected

You’ll be redirected back to the extension, now connected to your account.

Troubleshooting

Extension won’t connect

  • Ensure you’re signed in to SnapGlyph
  • Check that pop-ups aren’t blocked
  • Try removing and re-adding the extension
  • Clear browser cache and try again

”Session expired” errors

  • Click the extension and sign in again
  • Your session may have expired for security
  • Check if access was revoked in account settings

QR codes not saving

  • Verify you’re connected (check for your email in extension)
  • Ensure you have QR code slots available on your plan
  • Check your internet connection

Extension not appearing

  • Click the puzzle piece icon in toolbar
  • Find SnapGlyph and click the pin icon
  • Restart your browser if needed

Wrong account connected

  1. Open the extension
  2. Click Settings or your profile
  3. Click Sign Out
  4. Sign in with the correct account

Updating the Extension

Extensions update automatically, but you can manually check:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions in your browser
  2. Enable Developer mode (top right)
  3. Click Update

Uninstalling

To remove the extension:

  1. Right-click the extension icon
  2. Select Remove from Chrome
  3. Confirm removal

Your SnapGlyph account and QR codes are not affected.
