Managing QR Code Batches

Learn how to view, organize, and work with QR codes created through bulk generation.

Available on: Max plan only

What is a Batch?

A batch is a group of QR codes created together through the bulk generation feature. When you upload a CSV file with multiple URLs, all the resulting QR codes are grouped into a single batch with the name you specified during creation.

Batches help you:

  • Keep related QR codes organized
  • Quickly find all codes from a specific campaign or project
  • Download or manage multiple codes at once

Viewing Your Batches

From the QR Codes Page

  1. Go to QR Codes in the sidebar
  2. Batches appear as expandable rows in your QR code list
  3. Each batch shows:
    • The batch name you assigned
    • Number of QR codes in the batch
    • Creation date

Expanding a Batch

Click on a batch row to expand it and see all individual QR codes inside. The expanded view shows each QR code with its:

  • Name
  • Destination URL
  • Tracking status
  • Scan count (if tracking enabled)

Working with Individual QR Codes

Once you expand a batch, you can work with any QR code just like a standalone code:

  • View details: Click on a QR code to see its full detail page
  • View analytics: Check scan statistics (for tracked codes)
  • Edit settings: Change the destination URL or tracking options
  • Download: Export as PNG or SVG
  • Delete: Remove individual codes from the batch

Downloading Batch QR Codes

Download All as ZIP

To download all QR codes in a batch at once:

  1. Click on the batch to expand it
  2. Look for the Download All or batch download option
  3. Choose your format (PNG or SVG)
  4. A ZIP file containing all QR codes will download

Each file in the ZIP is named using the QR code’s name from your original CSV.

Export Batch Data

You can also export batch information as a CSV file:

  1. Expand the batch
  2. Click Export or Download CSV
  3. The export includes:
    • QR code names
    • Destination URLs
    • Tracking URLs (if enabled)
    • Creation dates
    • Scan counts

This is useful for record-keeping or importing data into other systems.

Deleting a Batch

To delete an entire batch and all its QR codes:

  1. Click on the batch to expand it
  2. Find the Delete Batch option
  3. Confirm the deletion

Warning: This permanently removes all QR codes in the batch along with their scan history. This action cannot be undone.

Deleting Individual Codes

If you only want to remove some codes from a batch:

  1. Expand the batch
  2. Click on the individual QR code
  3. Delete it from its detail page

The remaining codes stay in the batch.

Batch Limits

  • Each batch can contain up to 500 QR codes (the bulk generation limit)
  • There’s no limit on the number of batches you can create
  • Batch QR codes count toward your total QR code limit on your plan

Tips for Batch Organization

Use Descriptive Names

When creating batches, use names that help you identify them later:

  • “Q1 2024 Product Labels”
  • “Trade Show Booth - March Event”
  • “Store Location Signs - West Region”

Plan Your CSV Structure

Before bulk generation, organize your CSV so related items are grouped:

  • Use consistent naming conventions
  • Include identifiers that help you find codes later
  • Add tracking to codes you want to measure

Regular Cleanup

Periodically review your batches:

  • Delete batches for completed campaigns
  • Archive batch data by exporting before deletion
  • Remove test batches that are no longer needed

Troubleshooting

Can’t find a batch

  • Check if you’re viewing all QR codes (not filtered)
  • Search by the batch name
  • Look at the creation date to narrow down

Batch shows wrong count

  • Some codes may have been individually deleted
  • Refresh the page to update the count

Download fails for large batches

  • For very large batches, try downloading in smaller groups
  • Ensure stable internet connection
  • Try a different browser if issues persist
