An App Store QR code sends each person to the right store for their device. Scan it on an iPhone and it opens the App Store; scan it on an Android phone and it opens Google Play. You print and share a single code instead of two, and you never send someone to a store they can’t use.
How Routing Works
The code routes by the scanner’s device:
- iOS devices go to your App Store link.
- Android devices go to your Google Play link.
- Desktop visitors see a chooser page with both options, labeled with your app’s name if you provided one.
Create the Code
- Click Create, or go to QR Codes and click Create QR.
- Under QR Code Type, choose App Stores.
- Enter your iOS App Store URL (
https://apps.apple.com/...), your Google Play URL (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...), or both. You need at least one. - Optionally enter an App Name. It’s shown on the chooser page that desktop visitors see.
- Optionally apply a template or adjust the styling.
- Save the code.
Tips
- Add both store links so no one hits a dead end, even on less common devices.
- Copy the store URLs straight from App Store Connect and the Google Play Console to avoid regional redirect issues.
- Test on both an iPhone and an Android phone before printing.
