Available on all plans, for existing accounts.
A magic link lets you sign in without typing your password. You enter your email, SnapGlyph sends you a one-time link, and clicking it signs you in. It works for accounts you have already created, including accounts that normally sign in with a password.
How It Works
- Go to the SnapGlyph sign-in page at app.snapglyph.com.
- Type your email address in the Email field. You can leave the password field blank.
- Click Email me a sign-in link.
- You will see a Check your email confirmation. For your security, this message appears whether or not an account exists for that address, so it never reveals who has an account.
- Open the email titled Your SnapGlyph sign-in link and click Sign In to SnapGlyph.
- The link signs you in and lands you on your dashboard.
If your account has two-factor authentication or a passkey set up, those still protect your other sign-in methods. Magic links only work for accounts that already exist. You cannot sign up for a new account through a magic link, so use the sign-up page for that.
What the Email Contains
The email comes from SnapGlyph with the subject Your SnapGlyph sign-in link and a single Sign In to SnapGlyph button. A few things to know:
- The link expires in 5 minutes.
- The link can only be used once. After you click it, it stops working.
- If you did not request the link, you can safely ignore the email. No one can sign in with it unless they open it, and it expires quickly.
If you need a fresh link, just request another one from the sign-in page.
Troubleshooting
The email did not arrive. Give it a minute, then check your spam or junk folder. Confirm you typed the email address correctly, since the confirmation screen looks the same either way. If you still do not see it, request a new link.
The link says it expired or does not work. Links are valid for 5 minutes and only once. Request a new one from the sign-in page and open it right away.
Too many requests. To prevent abuse, SnapGlyph limits how often you can request sign-in links from the same place. If you see a “too many requests” message, wait a while and try again.
Your organization requires single sign-on. If your organization enforces SSO, magic-link and password sign-in are turned off for your account. Use the Sign in with SSO option instead.
