Deleting Your Account

If you need to delete your SnapGlyph account, here's what you need to know about the process and what happens to your data.

Removing a User from an Account

Individual users cannot delete their own accounts directly. To have your user account removed, you’ll need to contact the account owner or an admin on your account and request that they remove you.

How Owners/Admins Remove a User

  1. Go to Company Settings in the sidebar
  2. Click the Team tab
  3. Find the user you want to remove
  4. Click to remove the user from the account

Once removed, the user will no longer have access to the organization or its QR codes.

Deleting the Entire Organization Account

If you’re the account owner and want to delete the entire organization account, this will permanently remove all users, QR codes, analytics data, and everything associated with the account.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Downgrade your plan: Switch to a lower tier instead of deleting
  • Cancel subscription: Stop paying while keeping your account
  • Export your data: Download your QR codes before deleting

What Gets Deleted

When you delete the organization account:

  • All user accounts associated with the organization
  • All QR codes created within the organization
  • All scan tracking data and analytics
  • API keys and webhook configurations
  • Billing and subscription information

Warning: This action is irreversible. Make sure you’ve exported any data you need before proceeding.

How to Delete the Organization Account

  1. Go to Company Settings in the sidebar
  2. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm deletion

Only the account owner can delete the organization account.

Subscription and Billing

Active Subscription

If you have an active paid subscription:

  • The subscription is cancelled
  • You won’t be charged again
  • No refund for the current billing period (per terms of service)

Pending Charges

Any pending charges will still be processed. Review your billing status before deleting.

Re-registering After Deletion

After the organization account is deleted:

  • You can create a new account with the same email
  • Your previous data will not be restored
  • You’ll start fresh with no QR codes or history
  • Previous subscription terms don’t carry over

Troubleshooting

I want to leave an organization but can’t delete my account

Contact the account owner or an admin and ask them to remove you from the organization.

I’m the owner and want to leave

As the owner, you must either:

  • Transfer ownership to another admin before being removed
  • Delete the entire organization account

Want to recover after deletion

Contact support immediately. Depending on timing, recovery may or may not be possible.
