Connecting Google or GitHub Sign-In

Link Google or GitHub to your SnapGlyph account so you can sign in with one click.

You can sign in to SnapGlyph with email and password, or with Google or GitHub. Linking a provider lets you sign in with one click, and is a useful fallback if you ever forget your password.

Before You Start

The email on the provider needs to match the email on your SnapGlyph account.

  1. Open your profile menu in the sidebar and pick User Settings.
  2. Go to the Connected Apps tab.
  3. Find the provider in the Linked Accounts section.
  4. Click Link next to Google or GitHub. You’ll be sent to the provider to authorize SnapGlyph.
  5. Approve the request and you’ll come back to SnapGlyph with the account linked.
  1. In the same section, click Unlink next to a linked provider.
  2. Confirm in the dialog.

If a provider is your only way to sign in (no password, no other linked provider), SnapGlyph will block the unlink and prompt you to set a password or link another provider first.

Tip

Linking a provider and setting a password gives you two ways to sign in. If one ever breaks, the other still works. Unlinking a provider doesn’t delete your account or its data.
